How is my information protected?
The integrated digital care record used by clinicians and other professionals to access and share your information is known as Connecting Care. It is a highly secure digital care record system, that only qualified and regulated professionals who are authorised to use the system can use to access your records.
It is planned that more than 10,000 health and social care professionals in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire should eventually have access to your records thanks to Connecting Care, so it is vital that the right controls are in place to protect your data.
All current legislation and guidance on confidentiality, including data protection laws, have been met, and all organisations sharing or viewing your data have signed up to a detailed information sharing agreement.
