What is seen by the staff caring for me?

The information that people looking after you are able to access depends on their role in your care.

For instance, a hospital consultant might require full access to all of your records, but other professionals involved in your care may not need to see all information about you.

The type of information to be shared and how much each professional role can view is agreed and monitored by a group of data protection professionals.

More detail on the information seen by staff involved in your care can be found here.
